** London's famous book on his undercover-investigation of circumstances and standards of living of the poorest of the poor in London. People run now to the movies' to see "Oliver Twist" and say, well, huh, that Dickens sure laid it on thick. Sorry, bro, he didn't, as London's book proves. Really fascinating read, and one that point to many inequalities we still can find in place today. One of the books that really matter.
